Ok, so I'm a music composer for indie games (via GameJolt) and I need some help. There is a certain sound that I can't for the life of me create for my music. It's a bit hard to explain but this is what I can say about the details of what it sounds like.

Basically it's similar to how a distorted guitar sounds like but there's something different about it. Something that sounds like a grind effect or something (excuse my poor terminology). Here's an example of what I'm speaking of (listen at 1:53) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBW_vKsf8eo

There's another example of this certain sound effect but it's actually from an electric guitar except it's more choppy, but in a way that it makes it work https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7W24CgR62M

I've tried SEVERAL times to make that specific sound and the only thing that I came up with was a cinematic bass horn effect (y'know...that one from inception...)

Please, I need help XD
