I signed up eariler tonight and wow what an incredible site. I found a sample called creamy (http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/samplesViewSingle.php?id=3431), an organ tone that can be "looped with a k2000". I want to use it as a midi sample for voicing chord changes. However, when I tried to loop it in FruityLoops, there was pretty bad popping. I looked at the waveform and I understand why the clicks are there, but I'm pretty new to electronic music. I messed around with fading the sample into itself but I can't make it sound like an uninterrupterupted tone. Can someone please help me?
Thanks a lot,
Paul Conrad
the bad looping doesn't have a lot to do with the popping, I'm afraid. You could try changing the loop-points of the wave to make it loop better. The K2000 has more than one algorithm for looping waves as far as I know: it takes parts from the end of a wave file and mixes it back with the original etc etc.
Perhaps give this a read:

To start with. I'm sure there are zillions of articles out there, just use the mighty google.
Keywords should be: sample, loop, crossfade, ...
There's also programs out there that help you do exactly this!

go into the audio section...there it will have a sliding dial that will allow u to fix the latency. which is often the problem. if u are doing to much with very little power. move it as far RIGHT AS POSSIBLE until u get less popping. But I am not sure if that's the case. if not
simply right click on the box where your sample is (or track as they call it but fuck its just a damn box) and hit cut..this will keep the sample from over running itself and thus...which I think might be your problem-keeping the wave from running over its..etc.
bram is right its not about a bad loop. its about how u configure it to NOT MAKE IT POP. you can do what bram said and just change the loop point. but essential-that's what i'm telling you to do.
i use fruity loops A LOT.
