I'm working against a clock here and had one hour to download some SFX for a project. This site is great but I can't freeping download! I'm no newbie to internet and sound technology - and I followed all the site download instructions....
The big question is
Right Click and Save AS
Is all well and good, but over what can I Right Click and Save As.
The Download button siimply saves as a PNG.
The sound file, when right clicked, does not give the Save As option.
Help!!!!
Make sure you are on the page for the individual sound you want, not on the page that shows a list of files.
Then right click anywhere on the big "Download" button top right from of the waveform display.
If using Firefox, try Internet Explorer instead and use "Save target As" after a right click on the word "Download".

Happy new year!
P.S, lucktas, is that not one of the most unhelpful pieces of advice you could give? Given that the user just said they had problems with save target as... you seem not to have read the topic properly. Please ensure you do so before posting a reply in future. Acclivity, is that not right?
Sounds like you are clicking the waveform image and not the sound file download link (which is also a picture, but of a little old floppy disk and the words "right click save as". The bottom of your browser should look like this when you are hovering your cursor over it:
http://www.freesound.org/download/65704/65704_NoiseCollector_voodoo_LP_loop2.wav
As opposed to:
http://media.freesound.org/data/65/images/65704__NoiseCollector__voodoo_LP_loop2.png
Click the instructions might be an easier answer.
Maybe a regular link with underline and color like blue that poeple are used to might be easier? I personally never had a problem downloading.
Try to left click the download button. I have Windows Vista using Firefox and all i have to do is left click the download button and you will see a pop up to save.
