It seems pretty challenging to search for specific users on the site -- whether that's for their account or for sounds they've uploaded.
There doesn't seem to be a way to search the user list directly.
If I search for sounds, I can only find sounds from a particular user if I enter that user's full username.
The reason I'm struggling with this is because I downloaded a sound yesterday and wanted to credit someone, but apparently when I renamed the file, I fouled-up the username, and I have "adam-n", which doesn't produce any search results. I could probably find him though, if I could search for "adam", but there doesn't seem to be any way to do that.
Thanks
You are able to see a list of all of the sounds you've downloaded here:
https://freesound.org/people/woohooligan/downloaded_sounds/
(You can access that list on your profile page; click on your user name at the top right)
From there you should be able to find which sound you used, and then, the person that uploaded it.
Ah, thanks!
It still seems like it wouldn't be too hard to tweak the search and/or create a people-search. Not sure if this is the right forum for suggestions. D'oh!
