I am not sure how I feel about this. I found that the sound effects platform Soundly has an add-on to their system that allows registered paying users to search for sounds on Freesound.org.
While I have no problem giving my recordings away to the people here I am not sure how I feel about a 3rd party taking/making money from their subscribed users to give them access to our/my recordings on here. It is a different matter however if Soundly are supporting and paying Freesound.org some kind of commission for this access.
How does everyone else feel about this?
Cheers
Astounded

If the original Freesound has a non-commercial licence then no-one can sell a remix that includes it, see ... https://freesound.org/help/faq/#license-restrictions-when-publishing-new-sounds-that-includemodifyremix-other-sounds
No matter what, bad people will use how they want when they want. If the sound is non, commercial license then they need your permission to use it commercially or for making money. So what this site is doing is illegal in that last statement that I said. If the sound used is CC0, then they can do whatever they wish as it's a public domain sound.
If the sound is Attribution license, then they must credit the user that made the sound but can use it for commercial or money making reasons; so long as credit is established. You can try asking them to remove the infringing sounds but the internet is wide and vast in the sense of sketchy businesses practices. My two cents on the matter.
