Could you please provide instructions on how to do this?

Hello, I'm new here and struggling to download some of your fantastic sounds. There's no clear guidance on how to do it. I followed the FAQs and downloaded something called Lame, but I can't find it on my computer, and I still can't download the sound effects I'm looking for. Could you please provide instructions on how to do this?

LAME encoder is software to make audio files in the mp3 format.
LAME is not required to download or play audio from Freesound.
If you're using Audacity that used to require adding LAME to make mp3 files, but not now, (unless you're on Linux) ...
