Topic in the honour of our collective sound uploads!
At the current day of 2024 10 17, there's a collaborative collection of 652,003 free sounds!
We're over 650,000!
I was looking forward to get over the 650,000 mark.
I was surprised there isn't more, 650,000 looks like a little number compared to say Youtube where millions are uploaded daily, people get more subscribers let alone views. But it made me realise, looking back at that number, 100,000 is A LOT. Assuming one lives to 85years old, and uploads daily since they were born... They'd have uploaded 31,046 sounds!
Uploading 1000 is already quite an achievement! (Actually I have been wanting to do a arbitrary list of Freesound achievements for a while now. I digress.)

So 650,000 really is a collaborative effort. The current library is lifetimes worth work, I don't think we can imagine the hours spent going out and recording, editing, uploading, moderating, listening.
Nor how many projects all these sounds have been useful to.

So really thank you all, I'm proud of the community and what's been done!

I'm looking forward to the 800,000 mark, and especially the 1,000,000!

i made some wav mp3 player for these site...

red number is process step

download file and unzip make soundset folder and download wave folders....

then you can make some simple music.....

in program song using wave pack is "neatonk__misstereopiano"

rename wav files looks like loud_a0.wav
