I hate this campaign, it does not promise enough! It does not lie (joke) enough!

How about:

IF you give me your hard-earned money, THEN we will put it to use for YOU:
1. A new FREESOUND COMPETITION (like the earth/wind/fire/water compo way back)
2. Speed up the development of FREESOUND 2.0!!! Remember: this means an end to the crap cc-sampling+ license!!!
3. We will record a CUTE DOGGY barking!!!
4. We will record the sound of eating the most delicious CANDY!!!

etc. (3. and 4. are just kidding)

So my problem is, you don't make clear why you want the money. At the current status, you'll need nearly 40EUR per day! I will do my part most likely, but if you want others to join in, I'd recommend to clarify the 'goals' a little more.

One more thing: there are two donation things. The one mentioned above and http://pledgie.com/campaigns/4287 , which is a general "give money to freesound2" thing.

My interest is: make the cc-sampling+ license go away. I want publicdomain/cc0 and am ok with ccby and ccbysa I know that you will most likely provide also non-free licenses, but as long as free ones are available and I can filter my search by license categories, I'm ok with that. I don't care enough about competitions to donate for their realization right now

Question: Where should I put my money in? The 7000EUR fundraising http://pledgie.com/campaigns/4045 or the bottomless donation well http://pledgie.com/campaigns/4287 ?

all donations go to the same paypal account and/or bank account...
for now freesound 2.0 is main priority, nothing much else will be done before we release 2.0.
if you follow our development, you'll see that development is being done in heavy bursts of action, followed by periods of nothing

cczero is DEFINITELY going to be used.

We're hitting an average of 10euro/day at the campaign, so obviously we will never get to 6K euros this year.

My claim is that you could increase the donation average by making it's use a little more clear.

Right now, I want to promote it, but I don't really know why you want the money in the first place. ^^

Saying something like "for motivation" is already enough to make a difference IMHO

I would vote, but my option isn't there

[x] I will donate as soon as I have enough money on my PayPal account. It should be coming soonish. Even without the updates and cute doggy barking, where else in the world can you find a database of sounds this big and of this quality and with this license? If anything, it'd cost you way more than the few bucks you can donate now.

I will, as I intend to be a more frequent visiter and user to the site. Also, when the Moocher becomes Mac compatible.
