Something is MAYBE wrong with the uploaded files.PLEASE READ

Hi, everybody!
During my time spent on this great site, which I just LOVE, I have noticed something unusual.
It seems that my uploaded audio files sound different (when played from the browser) from those originals located on my hard drive.
I don't know if anybody of you guys noticed this, but please allow me to demonstrate.
Here is the download link of the original audio file uploaded to megaupload directly from my hard drive. Please download it (8 MB) and listen to it.

I uploaded the same file here, on freesound.org. Here it is:

When you play it directly from the browser, by clicking the little play button in the upper left corner of the waveform (right now I am using Safari) it looks like it sounds a little bit different, maybe pitch-shifted down a little bit?
Am I going crazy? Do you agree with me? Is this an issue that maybe no one ever noticed so far? I would really like to leave it up to you, guys, to decide.

Well, MegaUpload doesn't let me download that file. Is the sound normal when you download it off Freesound?
The sound you play in the browser is different, as it is compressed. Some very low sounds appear to be silent, for example. It is only a preview and there's no guarantee it will play sounds as perfect as they are. Downloading a soundfile should give you best quality, how it was uploaded.

This megaupload file worked for me, and the link is ok, you just have to reload and refresh the page like two or three times and it is going to be available for download.
