aloha...
i have uploaded a sample-pack over my account of u ftp-service ...its two rar-packs with industrial punch's in a new folder...this is industry sounds, which were partly made by me myself of job...a license is enclosed correspondingly ...
how these two can pile be provided to the community now?...does it have "describe uploaded files" what with yours on itself?...I get error message always following: you didn't select any file...mmhm, where is the problem?...have I behaved correctly?...cya

thermoblue... I think you still didn't get it.
you need to upload your samples SEPARATELY (as xyz.wav / yzx/aiff / zzx.mp3 / abc.ogg), not in any compressed or packed way.
the SITE then packs your samples for you, but also alows people to download all the separate files.

okay, thx...i delete the compressed archives and split these in separately folder - immediately happening ...
are 200 short industrial sounds as ogg-files with two channels of 160 kbps...
what the further procedure is like around now this one rounds these accessibly to make?...cu

now that you have the files in your space on the freesound server, all you have to do is login here at freesound, and then click Describe uploaded files in the bottom left corner of the page. just follow the directions there.
be sure to provide good descriptions of each sound individually, and also be sure to tag each file appropriately.
good luck!
this isn't serious *lol* - i rather have the 200 files as pack looked in the complete one...i won't describe everyone one by one anyway...i don't partly know any more how many are "dry" or covered with "fx" even...the sounds are partial from 15 years of my musical career...
therefore i asked also most pernicketily after corresponding help and compressed the data in the front-end...too bad about this samples...cu

yup . . .
releasing anything (software, music, audio samples, etc) under any sort of lisence (free or otherwise) for distribution (digital or physical) does require a certain amount of work . . .
i have now my 200 files described everyone and appended the database - *puuh* heavy birth ...thx for service...cu

hey thermoblue,
the moderators have a few questions....
1. why didn't you use the spelling checker! it's there to do just that check your spelling!! (or use an external program to do it and then use that text)
2. there's some really nice sounds in there, but the problem now is that all your descriptions are exactly the same... which is a real pitty. have you taken a look at other descriptions on the website? I know you uploaded a LOT of files, but giving all of them the same description makes it not very useful for freesound... The best way to upload files to freesound is a few at a time. YOu add 10 files and describe them as good as you can, then 10 another day, etc etc...
We're not sure yet what to do with all your files! having a 200-sample collection on freesound with exactly the same description and tags (because the tags are the same as well) might hurt freesound more than it will do good...
cheers,
- Bram
mmhm, i'm use a external translator...excuse me , i'm comes from germany and a anglo-saxon-noob...
and my upload was whole to see in it when packs...therefore has the sounds everyone described at once...but i also understand this one the other participant opposite provides...in the future, i will take into account your advice and according to less sounds uploaded...
and i'm tERMoBLUe - alright?...cya

hello tERMoBLUe,
erm, not entirely sure what to do now. Waht do you think about this:
we could remove your sounds from the database, and then when you want you can upload a FEW at a time, trying your best to describe them as good as possible.
descriptions aren't THAT important, but the tags really are...
what do you think about it?
cheers,
- bram
it's okay, can live with that and no problem...thanx for information - so sooner one special sample-forum...ciao
