Hi,

I'm a software developer, recently developing an application for android. I'm in need for an ambient background music that would be played in a loop throughout the application.

My question is, am I allowed to use sounds that I find in this site as long as I mention the name of the site and the producer in the credits section, or is it not allowed as the application has potential to make me gain some money ?

In a nutshell, making money with your usage of the sounds is not against the license, but using the sounds for advertising purposes is not allowed. And yes, credit to the original artist is required.
