which license should you choose for uploading sounds

You use creative commons. Note that this means ANYONE can use it and they do NOT have to credit you

How to handle is written there. And always give freesound and me the credits.

Hi All, I have just downloaded a file and would like to know if I am permitted to use the music in a short movie for U-Tube. If so do I credit the user name on the file, or apply to the author. This is probably in the wrong forum but I hope someone can answer the questions. Thank you, Chros

Follow the link and look at the right-hand-side on the pages. It say: This work is licensed under the Attribution License.
Folow that lonk and you see the licence and what you can do and not.

I use that license as well and 'I personaly' hope that people give credit to me and freesound.org. You are realy great when you make also a link to the sound in your credits. You are the best when you comment the sound on freesound. A hero when you do a free donation on freesound after you have made the first $1000 or less on you song

Thank you for the quick response. As yet I have not read the license form but would credit the originator, and there would be no problem (that I can see) in putting the link in the credits. Can't see this making any money but one can dream! Cheers Chros

There is no license called "Creative Commons". What the poster probably means is "Creative Commons Zero", which is a declaration of public domain/license giving rights to the work as if it was in the public domain.
