It seems that this site belongs to ten or fifteen people which sounds are being moderated immediately and their masterpieces always appear on the new sounds panel. We others (mortals) have to wait, and be in the mercy of EL MODERATOR`S good mood.

Just see the list of the new sounds. Always the same privileged people. This site is ( as far as I understand) based on volunteer work. It should prevent any sort of nepotism and positioning. Paid or unpaid. Friendly or hostile.
OK. Busy. But always find some time to moderate their own ( or their friends` , old users sounds) Again, just see the list.
Only thing that gives me the comfort,( They can't make influence on other people opinion and taste ) it`s that one of my sound is always on, one of the five, most downloaded sounds of the week.
I am not a conspiracy fan, but something is wrong here.
Or maybe they are just jealous `cos I don`t chase sparrows and pigeons around and record their sounds. Forget that. My sounds are DIGITAL, and digital sound is also a sound. Human, not out of the space.
So, hate me for being human. They hated rock and roll when it appeared.

I understand your frustration. When you are new you have to wait for the moderators and yes the are all volunteers, not paid.
That there is a kind of nepotism and positioning is a misunderstanding. There is a white-list of users. These people have proved for instance that the opload there 'own' work. More conditions I do not know. I was white-listed after 1 year and I am not a moderator. Before that time I had to wait to.
Please understand that all the volunteers have there own privat agenda. Moderating is not an easy job to do. To understand moderation read this: http://www.freesound.org/help/moderators/

You are not a conspiracy fan, but you think something is wrong here. I think you are wrong and please be more friendly to all these volunteers. They try do do there best. Have some mercy please. Thank you.

How is waiting for your sounds to appear on the site hindering your ability to use offline sound creation methods? That's just plain nonsense.

Understand that some users that have been with the site for many years, and continue to upload exquisitely described/tagged sounds. These users are white-listed; bypassing moderation.
Please don't feel belittled by this.

Also, I don't think a complaint is due considering that you uploaded 2 sounds only yesterday and 1 today. I can see that your sounds have been annotated by a moderator, which would explain the very slight delay...

I uploaded mine on 15 and still waiting. And now something worse happened, I can`t even describe my sounds any more.

Again; I understand your frustrations and I was white-listed after a year or so. So please @zagi2.... Your sounds are great, but this way of posting is a pity. It's so painful to read.

Just for the record, being persistent and abusive (joke or not) is less likely to get you kudos.

And I'm sure anyone else wouldn't appreciate the words "screw you" being directed at them.

Maybe t he answer is simple. When you make a joke face-to-face others can see your body language, your intonation etc... Writing is a very one-dementional communication that is missing all these elements. And because of that humor is difficult.
