Hi there,
New to the site, thanks to everyone who contributes.
Reading through the terms of use but still slightly confused.
Are the sounds on this site available to use and publish on sources such as youtube, facebook, vimeo etc if accreditation is given to the creator and site?
Sorry if this is stated clear and simply I just want to be 100% sure.
Thanks to anyone who responds to clear this up.
Hi
On the page where you download a sound you want, you will see a link just below the Download button,... "This work is licensed under......etc". This will take you to the page which clearly explains what you need to do to use this particular sound legally. There is nothing stopping you posting your creations to youtube, facebook etc. if you follow these rules. There are a number of slightly different CC licenses that an uploader can chose from for each of their sounds, so until you're sure you understand them it's a good idea to check the license link for each sound you want to use.
Hope that helps,
Wibby.
Invaluable for when you use sounds from Freesound are the frequently asked questions:

Please ask something remains unanswered!
qubodup, you are absolutely right.
The problem is the link to FAQ page on the Help page is very easy to overlook - being buried in the text. First glance at the help page gives the impression it's aimed at Mods and developers. I think if the title HELP was changed to USERS so the section titles read USERS, DEVELOPERS, MODERATORS, etc., it would be more logically consistent and more obvious for new guys and gals to navigate.
