I just found this website through youtube. Looking good.
Question:
It's really OK to create this kind of videos using the sound files on this site?
Here is an example:
http://www.youtube.com/user/FunSoundTube/videos
In other words, posting them as sound effects on youtube and monetizing the videos?
It this legal to to?
Thank you!
Well, it's only legal if you read youre sound sources (the user you douwnloaded each induvidual sound from) liscences. If it's under the Creative Commons licsense, then yes. If it's anything above that, No. But anything below it, yes!
Oh! One quick thing: If you're reading this, I have two other forums open, both with no reply. I stated a few questions and I really need them anwered. So, if you could, please check out (and hopefully answer) my realativly short questions onm those Forums. I'm saying this on every post I make so I can raise awairness, but nobody seems to notice. So, please, answer my questions. The name of the Forums are as Follows: "Some One! Please Answer MY Questions!!!" and "(Hidden field recaptcha_challenge_field) This field is required?" They are both listed under the "Bug Reports, Errors, and Feature Requests" section.
THANKS A MILLION,

As for uploading sounds to youtube:
1. Read http://freesound.org/help/faq/#licenses
2. In http://freesound.org/help/faq/#licenses , follow the links to the license pages, there view the "legal code" or "full license". Read and understand.
3. Read http://freesound.org/forum/legal-help-and-attribution-questions/33381/ to see examples of what mistakes can be made.
I also recommend to include full attribution inside the video itself, not just the description. Not doing so could lead to copyright complaints, as most licenses here require you to do so. Read and re-read the attribution requirements sections of the licenses.
Good luck and donate a share to Freesound.
