Hello to you all.
Im soon to launch a "ipod" animation download site on the web and I would like to know exactly where I stand with copyright of the fantastic sounds that you guys produce!!!!
Of course I will give maximun credit to sounds used but is it ok to use them.?
Regards to you all
May I say that your sounds are a source of inspiation to me and if by chance you would like to see what Im doing (non commercial at present)I would be only too happy to send you some URLs so you can see.

You mean you would basically mirror (download/upload) freesound-samples to your iPod website?
Well... I'm not sure what cc-licence says about it, but I'm not really thrilled about your idea.
Atleast I have uploaded my samples to be downloaded from Freesound, not for copying them to other similar websites.
"non commercial at present" ... but in the future commercial?
Hello and thanks for the quick reply.
Actually what I plan to do is to use a few sounds eg scifi stuff as special effects on my animations, they would be embedded in the avi and not reusable as pure sounds again.
I am not going to make available your freesound materials/ sound effects on my web site, that was not my intention .they will simply be embeded in the animation.

Hi.
Ok. Well... I don't see any problem why you couldn't do it, as long as contributors are credited.
Good thanks.
What I will do is when the site opens(6-8 days)I will post the url for the site on this forum,
hopefully your freesound contributers will enjoy this and it sould provide them with some feedback.
Thanks again.
Pete
