So I am creating some tutorials that will be posted on a corporate website and want to use a sound in it. Someone introduced me to freesound. It's a corporate website and we won't be attributing or giving credit.
I can probably get approval for buying it but we don't want to spend a lot for a quick sound --is freesound the wrong place for me? Should I be looking elsewhere? I will be putting it into Screenflow to create the tutorial.
Thanks for your help.
Freesound can be one of the right places for you
The quickest way would be to limit your search by license type, CC0 in your case; after you've issued a sound search using the red bordered "search sounds" box above, on the right you'll see a section named "licenses", showing the results grouped by license;
click on the "Creative Commons 0" one to see those sounds only, CC0 imposes (almost ) no restrictions nor requirements and you can use those sounds as you see fit.
The above "almost" should be of no concern in your case, just read this
https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/
to be sure.
In case you really need a sound released under a more restrictive license, you can always contact the author to obtain their permission.
HTH
You may use legally only CC0 licensed sounds from here. If you won't credit authors better look at commercial licensing sites like Pond5 or Audiojungle. Crediting is just a reward for using sounds for free, so you must browse CC0 sounds or invest some money in good sounds.

Just use it and relax. I'm totally against all restrictions, whether it be for corporate use, commercial, or for enthusiastic amateur creative purposes. My opinion is: attribution comes from the heart, not from the constraints of licenses.
That new-age defence will only stand-up in court if the Judge is on MDMA and smoking cannabis at the time :¬)
Freesound inaweza kuwa moja ya maeneo ya kulia kwa tabasamu
Njia ya haraka itakuwa na kikomo utafutaji wako na aina ya leseni, CC0 katika kesi yako; baada ya umefanya iliyotolewa search sauti kwa kutumia nyekundu Imepakana "search sauti" sanduku hapo juu, juu ya haki utaona sehemu aitwaye "leseni" , kuonyesha matokeo ya makundi na leseni;
https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/
kuwa na uhakika.

Right, cause that happens a lot? Unless you're ripping from Hans Zimmer or someone obviously who has the time to go to court, then I'm sure you're ok. But in all fairness, if you do use someones sound then you should credit them if you didn't pay for it.
In context to what has been written,
Living honestly and using licensed sounds according to their licensed agreements will ease your conscience and give you a clear report among others around you. You may not ever go to "court" but your "heart" is far from attributing the creator if you do not simply attribute and go by the laws. Honesty is the best policy for life,and practice and gets you places, obviously, CC 0 is the best way to go for you, there friend. (Coming from one in Audio Adventures and Sound Creator)
We, in respect to these creators of each sfx, must realize to respect the laws set up to protect and organize...for they are given for our benefit, and protection. Credit the creator, not in your "Heart" as one wrote, but wherein the license agreements are clear. Just facts from the Life Book and it always works.

some people don't have a conscience ...

and not having a "clear report among others around you", i.e. not in "good standing",
unfortunately does not stop them from continuing in their parasitical activities :¬(
