How does an artist attribute songs uploaded to the Soundcloud?
The help topic on that site says the following:
Am I allowed to upload sounds that were given away as free downloads by other artists online?
Downloading a sound (or purchasing it) does not pass on the right to upload it to SoundCloud, so you'll still need permission from the copyright owner if you want to make their music available on your profile, even if the copyright owner has made it available for free elsewhere. Why don’t you see if this artist has an official SoundCloud account? If the sound is already published there, you can repost it to your own profile or add it to your favorites!
So if an artist is asking to use my sound in a song, what must they do to attribute it? I don't see anything else on the site.
The simplest thing they could do is put your sound's link or your profile's link (on freesound) in the soundcloud song's description.
