I make music and I been using some of the awesome drum sounds here! Howwver, some of them seem to be CC-BY. Does this mean I should credit the drum sounds in all my songs? Just on my online music profile? Or is the attribution mostly for if I was to create a new sound out of the sample?
I apologize if this question has been previously asked, if so, feel free to remove this forum
Hey Lopyt
Yes, you'll need to give credit if using CCBY (Attribution) licensed sounds in your music and it's public. It doesn't matter if you're making a derivative or not, attribution is a requirement (hence the name).
The credit should be made in conjunction with the media where it's used. You can always have a web page on your site dedicated to credits, but you should point people to it from where the song is published.

Hope this helps
