Hey all !
Well, even their website isn’t the best ever in terms of accessibility for blind people, it seems that lots of my sounds are available there too.
As you can guess, I just sent an email reminding them about some details concerning copyright infringement, hopping they will take a wise decision about my audio samples within the next days.
And as they’re smart, I’m sure they will, won’t they ?
Wishing you all the best !

Hey klankbeeld !
Thanks for your search !
Hopefully, they probably have removed some of my sounds, or hidden them for now. But it seems that some other are still available there, up to now :
https://www.google.fr/search?hl=fr&source=hp&biw=&bih=&q=101soundboards.com+kevp888&iflsig=AL9hbdgAAAAAZl2KfGqwHRW2ZY_3CLliya8GOaMDoptv&gbv=2&oq=101soundboards.com+kevp888&gs_l=heirloom-hp.3..0i512i546.3832.19878.0.20486.34.30.4.0.0.0.180.1842.29j1.30.0....0...1.1.34.heirloom-hp..4.30.1528.ENXnPjjGiLE
Unfortunately, I can’t access to the player to check if the samples are playable or downloadable, but it seems that the pages are still onlinne.
Wishing you all the best !
Kevin
Hi @kevp888 / Kevin,
I do not know what the promised you. A quick scan on @kevp88 gives no results on 101soundboards.com, but when I follow your hits on google I find hundreds of not deleted files.
You better send a new message to them (read my lines made by mu lawyer at the end of this text).
Here are only some of many results to prove their behavior from the quick scan….

Kind regards
@klankbeeld : Thank you !
In fact, as it’s well formed, I used your letter as a basis for my own email, and I sent it yesterday.
I gave them 14 days (from June 3rd) to remove my audio samples from their website.
So, for now, I’ll consider that they decided to remove my sounds from the search engine first, and that they will follow and totally remove the files from their system within the next 14 days.
Let’s see the next step !
Wishing you all the best !
Kevin
That sounds great.

Quick update: Freesound wrote to them (I don't expect they had time to react at the time of me posting this).
I noticed 27027248-230127-2320-fr-pianoandchords @kevp888 and many others contain a "license" field. I assume that's new?
The URL is correct but the phrase "License: CC License" is incorrect. "License: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0" would be correct although "License: CC BY 4.0" should also work.
See Creative Common Recommended practices for attribution.
A link to the original and the name of the author is missing. "230127 2320 Fr Pianoandchords #ambience #ensemble #chord #walla #indoor @kevp888" in my opinion is not enough.
See https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/legalcode.en :
...
Section 3 -- License Conditions.Your exercise of the Licensed Rights is expressly made subject to the
following conditions.a. Attribution.
1. If You Share the Licensed Material (including in modified
form), You must:a. retain the following if it is supplied by the Licensor
with the Licensed Material:i. identification of the creator(s) of the Licensed

the Licensor (including by pseudonym if
designated);ii. a copyright notice;

extent reasonably practicable;b. indicate if You modified the Licensed Material and
retain an indication of any previous modifications; andc. indicate the Licensed Material is licensed under this

hyperlink to, this Public License.
...
I would like to point out this part :
"If You Share the Licensed Material (including in modified form), You must:
[...]
- a URI or hyperlink to the Licensed Material to the extent reasonably practicable"
On a website, that's for sure reasonably practicable!
A nit pick, author @kevp888 is in the title section. I think a Author row/section would be better.
Cheers.
Now I notice that female laugh with inhale.wav by tim.kahn (actually CC BY-NC 4.0) and Nespresso by me (actually CC0) also link to CC BY 4.0, which is kind of funny for CC0 but super wrong for CC BY-NC.
In general, I naively believed that they had deleted my sounds. I just can't find my sounds now if I type my username into their search engine. But a GOOGLE search also showed that the sounds remained. Initially, I had about two hundred sounds there. Now I have found much fewer links. I followed two links from GOOGLE in turn to my CC-BY-NC licensed sounds and found that when I clicked on the license link (in the field with the license link that they added on the sounds page) I also don't see CC-BY-NC, but CC BY 4.0. Funny. I haven't looked at the other links yet. There is no time. As Kevin said, maybe they somehow hid some of the sounds from me.
Hi newlocknew,
these are the only sounds I could find with google. So there is hope

Hi friends !
First, great thanks to those of you who checked my sounds, as it’s quite difficult for me to do it properly.
Finally, it seems that some changes are on the way, but there is still some progress to be made.
In my opinion, that’s great that Freesound wrote to them, as many users might be affected.
Let’s see what will be the answer. In my own case, I didn’t receive any reply to my email yet.
Wishing you all the best !
Kevin

Well! Thank you. Something must have changed overnight.
Regarding the blocking mentioned earlier: Clicking some links found via klankbeeld site:101soundboards.com shows "Sorry, you have been blocked". [Screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/bcjlbnO.png ]
This seems to only affect specific pages though and as far as I can tell, does not block you on the rest of the site. I'm confused about which part about this is intentional. To be safe you can use free proxy extensions or TOR.
farmland-hamlet-2pm-march-nl-01-170326-1112-hedikhuizen-atmosphere instead simply shows a "Page not found". [Screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/wCmO9Jf.png ]
A few remixes can be found on 101 via "klankbleed". One would have to check the licenses of these sounds though. Screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/vyQkIaD.png
I'm finding 8 sounds by newlocknew still missing correct license information and link to original. "site:101soundboards.com/sounds/
" helps with filtering out lists/boards. [Screenshots: https://imgur.com/a/OU3Kkzr ]
Found one CC Sampling+ sound: Deep Wok Lid Gong.wav (FS link) at Deep Wok Lid Gong #asian #cymbal #deep #gong #lid @pearldivers (101 link), again with "CC License"->CC BY.
I have spent some time trying to find my own CC BY sounds on 101soundboards but can only find CC0 ones. This might imply that at some point 101 was careful to avoid CC BY and NC but then stopped caring or some script broke or some intern didn't pay attention.
I did some more explorative searching for "Noncommercial" which gives 7 results. [Screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/O8QXvGm.png ]
For example this bagpipe sound, which was apparently taken from SoundBible, where it apparently was uploaded 06.08.09 and which sounds suspiciously high-quality with the original description "This bagpipes sound clip was requested by alex. its free under sampling plus 1.0 creative commons audio license." which was later changed to "This bagpipes sound clip was requested by alex. Its some guy playing amazing grace on the bagpipes. Its free under creative commons attribution noncommercial license." ("some guy playing" at this audio quality sounds like it was sourced from a sound library or media with high probability of no permission). 101soundboards again ignores attribution requirements.
I remembered sometimes links get deleted from Google. Should takedown or correction demands end up ignored, affected users can individually take them down from Google Search results. This could probably also be used for any soundboards on which these sounds are present.
Hi all !
Did someone notice any change recently ?
Personally, I didn’t receive any reply to my email, and if I search my sound on 101soundboards via google, it seems they are all still there.
Is there any news about Freesound’s approach ?
Wishing you all the best !
Kevin
