Hi everyone,
I´m working on an university project (completely free) - comparing compression algorithms and I´d like to know if it is possible to use the files from this server to evaluate the algorithms? The files will be available for others to download. Of course, I will attribute the samples properly, will put the link to the page and put the Creative Common License on the web, too.
Thank you
I am not a lawyer but as long as you are displaying credits for the samples that are at least as prominent as the other credits for the project (i.e. easily visible or accessible by people directly using the program) it sounds okay. I would include attribution both on the website and in a text file distributed with the program. The first being for visibility, the second for if the program is copied.
