Has CGEffex been excommunicated ?

I have remixed some of CGEffex's samples in the past , e.g. http://www.freesound.org/samplesViewSingle.php?id=101334

but now his original samples don't have his name on, e.g. http://www.freesound.org/samplesViewSingle.php?id=101127

His Freesound page is now anonymous ... http://www.freesound.org/usersViewSingle.php?id=1386366

Also his comments have disappeared.

If he has been excommunicated can anyone let us know what his sin was so we don't end up making the same mistake and are also erased from Freesound history.

No, I just got my account back actually...Bram thinks that my account was hacked and then used to spam. Because of that, it was deleted in a mass spam-account deletion event. However, I contacted him and now everything is back to normal. No, I didn't do anything wrong!

Now that I have it back, I am looking forward to uploading a pack of Lego sounds I created based on the original sounds in Lego Star Wars. I found that real legos don't make just the right sound, so I used Mega Blocks in my recordings. They turned out so good actually, that a while ago when I tried to upload them they were rejected. (Guess I didn't make it clear enough in the description that they were actually created by me!) Well, now that I have my account back I can get to uploading them again.

In light of the explanation I've just doubled the length of my Freesound password, (could reduce the odds of my account being hacked).

That's always a good idea. I personally always use a string of random characters for my passwords, and of course never use the same password twice (see xkcd ). Of course it's more hassle keeping track of them, but it's much safer.
