Hi all;
Is there any SW tool you use/know that I can use to measure SNR and/or any other sound quality factor?
I want to test a tablet PC's sound quality. I will use its headphone output as input to another computer and record some saple sounds (like basic sine waves) and try to measure SNR?
I know, second computer will contribute to the noise as well. But I will repeat the same tests for example with IPad2 as well and compare the results.
Any idea help would be appreciated.

Layer the original sound and the re-recorded sound with inverted phase? You then get the difference between both sounds. In a perfect world, the output is exactly nothing at all. Any noise or equalizing in the playback device will show up immediately.
