OK,I almost lost the plot there.........
I think recording-levels,distortion, clipping,headroom,are useful words with your sounds.It maybe best to know if/what you have found out about these.
If you're lost then Wikipedia has good descriptions on what they mean.

I am reuploading my sounds, they are not as loud.
I will upload them soon after Bram deletes all my sounds.

you know that changing the volume of a sound *after* it has already been clipped does not make a difference right?

i.e. once you lose information by throwin it away there is no way to get the information back.

We could have a freesound wiki with stuff like that. Good idea, yes, no?

ya that is a good idea

this is turning into a chat rather than a forum, but...

freesound 2 will have all help/faq inside a custom wiki with limited editing (i.e. only certain people will be able to edit).
but that would be a great place for HOWTO's and articles (all the articles are moving to the wiki as well)
