Uses only a tiny tiny bit of a Freesound sample (attributed, of course). - But since it is such a tiny slice, and the purpose of the piece was to enter a specific contest by Waves Audio.... I am not posting this one on the "your work made with Freesounds" and instead I am posting here

Love that bass line and a great variety of sounds going on. You say it only uses one freesound sample, but still I think you should've posted it in the "Your work..." thread.
I think he means he used the sound for like a few seconds (not one of the main sounds) judging by this statement "Uses only a tiny tiny bit of a Freesound sample (attributed, of course). - But since it is such a tiny slice,..."
so the music is something like 99.5% entirely his work, and it depends what kind of sound it is anyway, if its something simple that anybody could have made then it doesn't matter so much, only the unique sounds are more personal and deserve more credit.

Most of the sounds are from a free sample pack by Waves Alchemy.
Plus a few that I have made myself.
The sample from Freesound plays a relatively minor role in this one. I only used one note from a long acoustic bass sequence to create a variation in the main bass sequence in a couple of points.
I will reserve my postings on the "Your work made with Freesounds" sub-forum for when the samples from Freesound play a more relevant role. - Otherwise feels like cheating.
The Freesound sample was, of course, attributed. - For that, it does not matter if only a small fraction of a larger sound was used.

Do I hear the use of Vectory?Something to do with this perhaps? http://www.native-instruments.com/en/community/reaktor-user-library/entry/show/4717/
Surely not this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g81Qku8Nqgw
LOL, it's neither... I do not have Reaktor.

I meant Vectory, part of the Reaktor stock ensemble library

Nope. Unfortunately do not have Reactor.
The piece uses mostly sounds from a promotional Waves Alchemy pack, plus a few sounds I created myself in Reasson and Ableton Live using each DAW's built in devices.
Effects used were also a combination of Reason and Ableton Live effects.
It's really awesome!
Damn you guys for making me want to check out more cool music making stuff!! LoL

Perhaps, but one could easily misunderstand something like this, even though he used one sound theres a big difference between using that sound for only a second or using it where it can be heard the majority of the time
