I have a sort of odd question. Does anyone have any experience in making atmospheric/ambient textures loopable? I have a total of 11 sounds that are under 1 minute all of which need to be loopable. The sounds will be converted to sf2 files for a free soundbank for a free vst called "Wraith."
If you're wondering why I don't just do it myself, the answer is that I simply don't have the time. I'm in the process of moving abroad, and have quite a few composition deadlines all to be done before the end of March. I was hoping to have the sounds loopable before the end of march.
If anyone is up for doing this, I will be eternally grateful!
I am sure we can find a few volunteers. I might be able to lend a hand myself.
If you want to post the sounds here at Freesound all in one pack, I will launch a dare asking people to help.
Since this relates to sound manipulation rather than musical composition AND is an actual request for help from a Freesounder, I expect good participation.
I will contct a few members directly, who seem to be interested in this type of thing so are likely to participate.
The format would be that the participants would post the sounds back to Freesound and provide the link to the pack.
You should have various versions of each sound to choose from, so you can pick the ones you feel loop best.
Credit should be given to the people who helped in the VST plugin info screen / manual or somewhere else, as appropriate. - Can you confirm this will be done?
If the above meets your needs, I will post the challenge as soon as your pack containing the sounds to loop is up. (PM me if you need assistance to get these moderated fast).
Also PM me if you have any questions about the proposal above or want to discuss further.
That is a great idea. I'm totally up for letting anyone have a go at it who wants to participate. I'll make sure that the loops I choose are credited properly in a "readme" txt within the sound bank download.
I'll PM you shortly to discuss this a little further.
A millions thanks!

I should also mention that the soundfont bank will be available on the http://westgatesounds.net/AnomalySF2/index.html page as well.
