Hi,
I am re-doing a song I created about 6 years ago.
I found every single instrument except for one. It's a *Ker-Ker* sound.
Maybe a filtered snare or clap? Can anybody help me identify it or at least give me the catergory in which I should be looking?
Even better, any Kontakt libraries or VSTi's that I can buy that would have this sound or be able to replicate it.
Thanks for the time you took to read this.
Here is the soundcloud link to the 2 second clip.
sounds like a low quality recording of shoes dragging across some gravel with some editing to make it more choppy, try opening this sound in a audio editing software and cut out a bit that sounds the most like that sound and duplicate it accordingly https://www.freesound.org/people/adejabor/sounds/157942/
could you give me the original song this sample came from so i have better knowledge of what this sound is supposed to be? because if its supposed to be a clap or snare then your best bet is to find a heavily reverberated snare, mixed with some filters
I can upload the bridge part if you'd like? I guess its not suppose to sound like anything accept what it was....I just reference claps and snares because when I look for that sound, I find things VERY similar in the snare and clap category.
I know it def. came from a VSTi or a hardware synth my friend had.
i instantly recognized this as a part of the song by metallica called "die, die my darling". look up that song and you will hear it at the beginning and other places. maybe that will help you somehow. i assumed it was their rhythm guitar being strummed hard?
