Hello friends! I just registered on this website in order to download sounds, but when i downloaded the sound that i wanted it downloaded.... a link to the sound and not the actual audio or mp3 file, which i think is very strange. Why would i want a link to a sound i've allready found when it is obviously the audio file itself i am after.

So please, dear friends explain to me how i retrieve the audio as a normal mp3 file.

Did you right-click and hit save or do something similar? You have to hit the download button. Download works fine.

I think the problem might be that you're trying to download on the wrong page, possibly, maybe.

Are you going through to the sound information page where you can see all the comments for said sound? There will be a yellow download button on the right-hand side of the page that looks like this:

You can either left-click the button to bring a pop up download window
or right-click the button and 'save target/link as' to the same effect.

It should also be noted that your download format will be in the exact same format as the author's upload, so if they've uploaded a .wav file, you will get a .wav file. Whether you need to convert that file to mp3 is down to you. These are things you can filter in the search however.
