To tell you the truth (and make a long story short):

A power surge blew the thing up a couple of years ago. I replaced the power supply and motherboard to rebuild the RAID array and salvage a bit of data that wasn't backed up, but 75% of the RAM was fried, the cpu is burnt out. The components are quite old now too so it's basically useless.

I'm going to get another windows machine eventually. When that will be is anyone's guess.

p.s. I since got a surge protector on my wall socket to avoid instances like this in the future.
