as performed in Salzburg Festival 2003:

from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helikopter-Streichquartett
A performance requires:
four helicopters, each equiped with a pilot and sound technician,
television transmitter and 3-channel sound transmitter,
and an auditorium with four columns of televisions and loudspeakers,
a sound technician with mixing desk, and a moderator (optional),
as well as the members of the string quartet (two violins, one viola, one violoncello)
Seems like a reasonable and environmentally friendly source for a cover band to play at parties!
AHAHAH!!! and what a party!
you're right: in 1991 environment thoughts weren't so hot... Freesound could be a sound solution: "helicopter" search give 112 results, "violin" 532 (plus 92 for "fiddle", "viola" 32 and "cello" 162. Mix, shake and play it loud - no petrol, no pilots fees
