I made an audio comparison of a street in my city. Weekday, same time, same month, same location, but one 2016 and another Corona 2020.

In an hour it will be time: I'm going to make a sound recording at a location where I was exactly a year ago. The weather conities are about the same. exactly at thirteen minutes past seven in the evening, local time, the recording starts.
The location is here: GPS 51.68786 5.29119
It is between buildings in the city with a view of the street railway.
I wonder if there will be a clear difference caused by corona.

Very interesting to see! I've been recording out my window every night since just before things got shut down where I live and the changes were fairly clear, but now even though we are still in the same shutdown people are giving up I think and it is getting noticeably more noisy again.

The city I live in - San Francisco - is still incredibly quiet due to the coronavirus shutdown. Very little airplane noise (I live in the flight path of SFO) and very little traffic noise (I live near a freeway.) I can hear the birds now!

Indeed Tim,
People are starting to give up on that corona thing. When I have to go to the store I get annoyed by those naive people who do not keep their distance.
However, my comparisons are more positive. There is considerably less human traffic.
We hope for the best.
