First listen to this one http://www.youtube.com/user/DjYoungEldinow?feature=mhum
give me advice for improvement please
As a classically trained musician I would offer this:
1. You introduced a theme then all you did was loop it. You need to develop the theme past the introduction stage and not just loop a few bars. Get a whole 32 bars down w/o repeats.
2. Too much drum machine back it off a little so it does not over power the melodie.
3. Where is the bass line.
4. The dynamic range (volume) was shallow, it did not rise and fall.
5. Rests are just as important and sound. Conductors constantly say play the rests as well as the notes.
6. The whole thing felt rushed.
You got a good start now develop it some more.
You might want to take a few music theory classes down at the local JC.
Listen to some music out side of the musical genre that you listen to most of the time. I mean listen to the harmony and rhythms. Hear what the composer had to say.
