hello everybody
I'm new here and i live in france
can anyone recomend an electrostatic mic (about 500 $) to use for field recording with a MD and preamp?
Hello Heigh hoo
i don't have a portable preamp yet, but i want to buy one. I know that the sound device MM1 or AETA PSP2 are good, but for the mics i'm not sure.
There is so many good mics. That's why i asked this question about microphones.
i've heard about the rode NT4 or the shure VP88 ????
If I were you, I'd choose Shure VP88 or Sennheiser MKE44p.
Both of them are excellent products.
I once tried MKE44p for field-recording, and was totally stunned by the play-back sounds.
That's still my dream mic.
VP88 is also the one that I'm strongly attracted by. Robust, energetic. When I listened to the sound that was recorded with it, I thought it's good.
But, both of them are 1000-dollar microphones....
