I've got thonk on a Mac. I've got .aif files created on Windows with Audition. Audition tells me that these are 16-bit files. I can't see the files with thonk; I tried changing the file extension to .aiff, but still nothing.
I've also tried Switch on the Mac to change 16-bit .wav files to .aiff; this also hasn't worked for me.
Suggestions? TIA...
Hi, just "refreshing" the post (see previous) to see if I can get some new eyes on it...
Bram
.... which sounds? anything in particular or all aiff?
Just aiff. And no sounds in particular -- I was just grabbing stuff to try in thonk.
Thanks.

Try just saving the wavs on the PC and converting them to AIFF on the Mac with QT Pro or Switch...
Thanks, though as I said in my original post: "I've also tried Switch on the Mac to change 16-bit .wav files to .aiff; this also hasn't worked for me." Maybe QT Pro would somehow work better; as yet, I don't have it...

I think I may have found a solution: Use iTunes. Import the WAV files into iTunes (on Mac), then choose iTunes->Preferences->Advanced->Importing. Click on Import Using and choose AIFF encoder. Then, go to your library and select all the WAVs you've just imported. Go to Advanced->Convert Selection to AIFF. iTunes should start convertined en masse. After that, select one of the converted files, right click, and click on Show in Finder. You should now see all the converted WAV files with AIFF extensions...

Hmmm, that's just so crazy it might work. Will give it a go later and post when I get results. Thanks...
