Hi , I am wanting to make recordings of the internal structural sounds of buildings , ie low frequency creaking and groaning . I thought a contact mic on the wall and recording into my laptop via my m-audio firewire 410 inteface might be the go but if anyone could make some suggestions on the best way to do this or what mic exactly I should use I would be very greatful .
Also I have been researching making my own contact mic , has anyone tryed this and have some advice ?
