Hi my friends, last week my new Olympus dm-520 voice recorder has arrived to my country ecuador, and i'm verry glad with my purchace.
has exelent features, and the best part is totaly accesible with voice guidence.
i was purchaced one from amazon website, and arrive last week.
here is my modest review.
first, i cmpared with other models before buy this, the competition is verry hard .
my iinitial idea is buy a edirol r-09 hr, or a zoom h2.
this models has exelent audio quality of recordings, but has poor battery life, the h2 don't have build in speacker, and the worss part, for a person with low vision or blind totaly, is verry inaccesible.
some blind users says that the edirol r-09hr, is easy to use and has dedicated buttons for some of the parameters, but the erase prosses is complicated.
the zoom h2, don't have accesibility at all!, for erase one file, you have to make some 3 or 4 steps to delete the file, menus is a redio button menus, and is verry hard to manipulate the recorder, plus, don't have the internal speacker.
despide of this 2 pro recorder models, i choose my dm-520 for his reasons.

pros of dm-520.
4 gb of internal memory, expandible of to 16 gb of micro sd card, i have a 8 gb micro sd card and works well.
2: ultrasensible stereo microphone.
3: windows media, mp3, and pcm wav recording.
4: the most important feature for me, voice guide, in 3 languages!
5: improoved build in speacker.
6: extremely long battery life!
Cons
cons.
the stereo microphone build in in the recorder is not usable for out dor ambientes, constantly i have to edit the file with audition and sound forge to make sound betther but unfortunelyu the microphone is not for out dor ambients, connect your external mic.
over all, this a good recorder, is much that i expected, and with low price.
