You'd have to give some more specs, LG makes a lot of notebooks (I'm in Korea, I know!) It doesn't usually matter what kind of notebook it is, all that matters is what's inside it. For music making, you will want lots of RAM (at least 1GB), and having a deep cache doesn't hurt either. As for the firewire interface, you need to make sure you get a laptop with the right firewire connection. Some are big, with 6 pins, and can power other hardware (like an interface), and some are small (like mine) and can transmit the same amount of data, but can't power anything. However, I just read that it does come with a power cord, so you can still use it with the 4-pin firewire.
Actually that thing looks pretty sweet! lots of monitoring options, that would be nice... good luck, and let us know if you have any questions on specifics.
Anyone using my laptop?? hock:
Ok, bad joke. Anyway, my experience is that any modern laptop will do. I record on a 2003 Toshiba 2.4 Celeron with 256 mb, combined with a Edirol UA-25. It works well so newer laptops should not have any troubles.
