i'm looking for a very light software to edit some sounds in wav format. do you know something to suggest? notice that for my computer sound forge 8 is already to heavy

Audacity http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ might be your best bet.

And it is free!

bah. brucie beat me to it. Audacity is definitely the better program here - the fact that its free makes it even more appealing

maybe adobe audition.i use it and i think is preatty good.i have a pentiun 2 at 300 mhz and it works.

I will also go for Nero Wave Editor. Its best for bigners.

Both are free! Easy and cheesy, but minimal is usually best.
