My first track that i record is always off sync with the second track. Is there anyway to fix that? or can anybody recommend me a better recording program to use?
For free, there's the Kristal audio engine that is pretty good. just google it.

I had a similar problem when I was using Audacity on a slower computer. You can try to shift one of the tracks, but it's hard to line up exactly. I used another program that would work on a slower machine while I still had my old computer. You can check out the freeware from Quartz ( http://www.digitalsoundplanet.com/SoftwareHouse/Products/Audio_Master/Freeware/freeware.phtml ). I used it to play back one wave file track while recording another. Once I got a computer with faster CPU and more memory, Audacity worked great too.
