I've been using sounds from here to make sound effects, problem is, most of the sounds are
32000hz 16 bit
My video is 48000 hz 16 bit
I have some songs which are 41000 hz 16bit
whenever I export multiple sound clips with different hz together they create a grating static on the speakers and the sound quality is completely gone. (I'm using Adobe Premier Pro 7.0)
is there a way to change the hz so they can match each other?
Yes it possible...
First when we would change the sampling rate without
changing the speed/pitch of your sound we naming that resampling/resample...
It"s not really complicated but you must need some editor
to do that, I dont"s know what you use but there is some example:
Sound forge:
Go in Process/Resample...

Goldware:
Go in Effect/Resample

if some Audacity experts can give some answers...
Okay, thank you very much.
I used dBpoweramp to convert my files to 48khz.
Unfortunately, it has not fixed my problem.
Certain sounds just grate the speakers with this annoying static, even though in my editing program and on this website they play fine. But, once I export them to another format they sound like garbage for some reason. I changed them all to the same bit rate and khz but still no change.

I've had that problem with dbPoweramp before, drives me nuts. Just use Audacity to change the sample rate. Import them as normal and then when you export them make sure you have it set to the settings that you want. Takes a little longer than just right clicking and telling it to convert, but works everytime.
