I've been fooling around with this very easy program i picked up ( sampilizer ) and managed to put together some interesting tunes ( though on this its pretty easy I supposed )
My question really is , is there any point persuing sampling if I want certain sounds i.e. guitars or unique rythms etc if I dont play any instruments myself ?
I know theres cds on audiofish etc but their not cheap at all and ( aside from the samples here ) a lot of the others are not that good .
A lot the sounds Im looking for I suppose are industrial ( skinny puppy or early NIN etc ) though Ive been trying to find some nice guitar sounds I can use too or ethnic instruments ( mandolins etc )
Ive been writing lyrics to songs for while so i thought maybe I could use sampling to sort establish some sort of tune but given I dont play any instruments like I said this may be tough task.
Any thoughts or help on this would be gladly welcomed - Thanks !

If you want to have any sort of unique sound, don't use "music creation softwares" were you just drag and drop someone else's loops. I would recommend FL Studio if you don't want to spend too much money, or Reason, which is more expensive, but in my opinion WAY better.

Is it impossible to compose sounds just using single chords on any software ?
I was thinking of getting a cheap keybaord and trying to learn that but I thought some software had made that almost obselte now

What I meant is that you can't make original music if you only use loop kits, pre played chords, etc... but using some loops, and destroying/altering the sounds with various effects can give you quite unique sounds, like NiN and other industrial artits do.
