I'm using Adobe Audition (Version 2.0) and I need to know step by step to "cut" or "mix" voices or music. Can anyone PLEASE help me?
I need to know VERY specific details such as what my settings need to be on the effects involved.
The "cutting" and "mixing" i'm looking for is like a hip hop DJ sound.

Yes. I dont have a turntable or anything. All I use is Adobe Audition version 2.0

Again, I don't have a turntable. The only thing I can use is Adobe Audition version 2.0.

You don't seem to be a regular turntablist. I'll scratch up your samples if you want.

But if not, there are many, many, many plugins out there that are digital turntables, by all means you don't need an actual turntable.

I tried adobe audition, and personally, i thought the GUI was way too crowded and complicated, but I'm sure that somewhere in there there is something to do this with....

If you download the free demo of fruity loops, it has a built-in called "fruity scratcher" which is good for basic scratching

or for more immediate use, there's this freeware:

AnalogX Scratch

you can record what you scratch into a .wav file automatically.

to get a cleaner sound most pro's use a crossfader to cut out the parts were the record is almost stpped and when it's turning REALLY fast, but you can just use Audacity or Audition itself to edit those out.

I'm definitely not a regular. I'm a radio show host and I need to know how to do this for a production. Do you know where I can get the plug-ins at? I'm really new to Audition.

GUI is Graphical User Interface. The user interface of Adobe Audition (Version 2.0) is a little complicated and difficult.
