I just found out that my department at Miami University has a great field recording setup I can check out and use at whim. It's a bit of an older setup, as it consists of a Tascam DA-P1 DAT recorder with an Audio-Technica AT825 mic. But even though its older and bulky (and I had to go out and find someplace that actually still sells DATs), it should produce some good quality field recordings, so I took it out for a spin. I fully charged the battery before I left, but it died after only 3 minutes of recording! I'm thinking it's probably a bad battery, but could it be something more sinister than that?
Yeah bro. Those batteries like, cell phone batteries, and laptop batteries don't last forever.
As an example dell gives a 4 year warranty for all computer parts, but only a 2 year warranty for batteries. They just don't makem like they used to. lol
see if they will get a new battery :?:
