holla,
did i loose quality, if I convert a wav to flac for storage and if needed convert again the flac to wav (for audio editing - sony sound forge doesn't support flac)
greetings
marcus
Flac is lossless compression. You don't lose anything - not even a single bit.
wav1 => flac => wav => flac => wav => flac => wav2
wav1 is bit-by-bit the same as wav2
wav1 => mp3 => wav => mp3 => wav => mp3 => wav => mp3 => wav2
wav1 has nothing in comon with wav2

i just was wondering about the compression levels of flac.

marcus
ps: will be flac supported here in future?
http://flac.sourceforge.net
has all the information you need about flac.
http://flac.sourceforge.net/comparison.html
has a lengthy comparison of flac with other compression schemes.
About support: I'll have a look...
