Hi!
I'm new to loops stuff and computer music, always been playing guitar, but I wanna learn, it's all pretty interesting and the use of loop can be virtually unlimited xD
I'm learning to create songs with loops using the software Acid pro 4, and I' got into a timing trouble with the song
I created a piano rhytm loop beatmapped 186 bpm, then I found a drums loop, it was slower, and acid rearranged the speed of the loop to make it fit to the song's beatmap.
Than I tryed to add some lead loops that are made on a different beatmap from the songs, but when I paste them into the song, they speed up and they're too fast!
Is there a way to keep just the original time of one single loop while all the rest is different?
for example in my case, I got the 2 tracks at 186 bpm, and the 3 loop i wanna put in the song is 97bpm, but it's a scrathed vynil and I need it to be heard at that original speed on the song...But when I add the loop's track to the project, it brings the loop from 97bpm to 186 and it's heard like a tape in foreward ahah How can i keep the original speed?
Sorry for the long explanation, but I'm not sure if my english is alright eheh
Cheers!
Andre
Right click the track you want to stay at original tempo, then click properties. Double clicking the track name in the properties window should bring up another window where you can then then change how the track is handled, ie., beatmapped/loop/one shot. Choose one shot. Should work. There are other ways around future similar situations from the options>preferences menu.
Completely free version of ACID, called acid xpress. limited to 10 tracks on the timeline.

Also, just in case you want to make these changes to the track during import, just choose the option for the beatmap to 'retain track tempo' or something similar to that. You should have three options when the beatmap wizard pops up. Choose the one that allows you to keep the original track tempo, and basically skip the beatmap process.
