Hello!
And sorry for opening a so much old post. I'm writing this as a member of www.escoitar.org
The site is about the sounds of galician (a region on the northwest of spain). It's opened so anyone can submit a sound and geotag it. What we try to do is to know how galicia sounds.
When people upload a sound is asked to add a coment, and that comment is generally written in Galician or Spanish.
Despite that, there's a section on english where you can find texts, and articles about works and activities done by us:
www.escoitar.org/spip.php?rubrique16
We're working on expand the contents on English... I'll tell you when it's done.
Thanks!
I happened to be at the presentation of the "Recursos Propis" exhibit at the Universitat de Girona a couple of weeks ago, and discovered escoitar.
I was about to tell them about freesound and the 'sons de barcelona' project, which is quite similar to escoitar. But obviously they already know about it
I've been browsing the escoitar projects. Very interesting indeed! keep it up!
