Noticed a thread below where those using the R-1 have had mixed
results and one user who said they'll be returning the R-1 due to
self noise levels. Has anyone used R-1 *and* MicroTrack and
how do they compare? R-1 mentions minimal self-noise in the
marketing (whereas MicroTrack doesn't mention this topic), so
I'm worried the MicoTrack might be the same in that area or
worse. They're both around the same price, so which one
is a better buy and why? Thoughts? Thanks. Andrew
hi Andrew,
I havent heard of anybody actually owning a micro yet.

Guess it is not commercially available yet; looking forward to
hearing from those who buy it. Andrew

It isn't, but gossiping about the device is *huge* (and funny). Check this:
cheers

I have ordered one from Core Sound and they are saying last week in September.
Plan to use it via Grace Design V3 to record to through SPDIF. I cant think that the onboard preamps would be much good given the price of the unit.
