Hello again;
My current grand plan is to enter the working field of sound design for video and/or computer games - for which I started a course at the local SAE and are also aquiring diverse equipment/software.
Since sound design is not the major focus of SAE, I'll need to gather all the practise on my own. I already found some hobby game programmer sites and offered my free time, but I also want to find some hobbyist in the video segment (either recorded or animated) that need their productions audible. I was hoping that you people here could give me some pointers?
The key is to find some hobby communities, where it is 'accepted' to do something not that good...
Alot of Video Editing is people you know, like. Football coaches, short film makers, and random people you may encounter on Craigslist, which is an awesome site to find freelance work for cheap by people who generally don't care that much what your doing. Also, (frankly I would have to say No.....) youtube offers some great work if you get in with the right people. The DV forum is cool to sort of chat with people but we all know the forums world can be well........ Not so Sticky to the topic... try the software forums for the application that you are using. . . . . . Anyway way I love Richard Devine. Hope this helps.....
