Software (for music)

Hi ,
I dont know if im right here because this is more sound not music , but i will ask anyway.
Im searching for a Programm that is good at ingame music. So if someone use a nice programm.just tell me. I also would pay so maybe just give me a list of programms i can check.

If you're into the whole linux thing, i'd recommend using Ardour as a DAW. Hydrogen makes a pretty good drum machine, and there's a whole bunch of synth software, that you can use on your everyday pc keyboard.

A great program for making music is Reaper. It is not free but you can get a personal license for about £30. Also, the demo version never expires... so you can use it forever.
If you are more into a tracker sort of program, though.
Jeskola Buzz seems to be a popular free one, but I have not used it myself.
Anyone can comment on trackers?

I second the reaper. However it is more geared towards musicians, or actual audio recordings.
Another popular program is FL Studio. It is quite versatile and can be used by non musicians to make good music due to their advanced on board sequencing options

It has an amazing programmability for percussive patterns. I love that part of FL and no other DAW can top it.

Reaper is my favorite DAW but it wouldn't be my first choice for a beginner to make music with. It doesn't come with any real onboard synths or samples and the default plugins aren't intuitive as easy to use if you didn't already know the fundamentals. Tracker-style apps are a good suggestion and you could get going right away with them.
Like three of the other posts, Fl studio. Its by far the most comfortable DAW ever to this day. Well for me anyway, other DAW's are all about the same, but something about FL studio catches you once you really put time into learning all there is about it. There are quite a few other DAW's programs. I recommend you search a list of DAW's for your available OS.. ps there are alot of free ones that will do the job.
For sampling and not music. I still recommend FL studio, the piano roll feature is very handy and I use it to make my samples with a few trustful VST's... good luck.
You can also try LMMS for Linux/windows. I use it and no complains so far, besides it's open source + CC samples is a good match for Linux users...I guess XD
