I'm interested in alteratives to Hydrogen, which I used for awhile and liked ... but I believe that it caused some issues for my computer. Whether it actually did or didn't ... irrelevant, really. Just curious as to what other free software folks might be using that does what Hyydrogen does ... or more!
Thanks for ay advice that you can provide ...

Guessing from the use of hydrogen, you're on linux, right?
Have you tried out jackbeat https://bitbucket.org/olivierg/jackbeat/wiki/Home
Not on Linux, no. I was using the Windows download the "0.9.6" version ... labeled as "unstable". I have a hunch that it was causing my machine to crash, that's why I'm looking for alternatives.
Thanks very much for the reply.
You're welcome
Well, from the looks of it, jackbeat has even got a windows download too.
Well, there is a Windows Installer for 0.9.4 stable.

There is not that much that has changed since then.
